Minecraft & Legorobotics
$281In this mash-up class, students will move between LEGO Robotics and the world of Minecraft to push their creativity and problem-solving skills to the limit. Whether you are new to Minecraft or a veteran of the game, and whether you prefer survival or creative mode, this is the session for you! Students will hone their Minecraft skills as they collaborate on projects with others in the class. Additionally, students will build and program robots all while playing with LEGOs! Students will have the opportunity to work through multiple activities to improve their robotics skills. The activities will focus on hands-on building, programming, experimenting and problem-solving. They will also apply and adapt these skills by making their robots solve a variety of challenges. Collaboration, exploration, and fun are what this class is all about!
American Sign Language
$145Come dive into a completely new world with American Sign Language (ASL)! Students will learn how to communicate using ASL and get a glimpse into Deaf culture. Students will understand the challenges deaf people face in today’s society and learn a new language at the same time!
Creating Comics
$151Learn to tell a story by creating your own characters and experimenting with graphite drawings. Students will develop their very own comic style. Every student will have a comic book or comic strip they created and illustrated to take home. All skill levels are welcome!
Digitally Sketch, Paint & Create with Procreate for iPad
$147In this class, we'll be covering all the Procreate basics, and then doing a follow-along drawing where we’ll learn about all the most essential Procreate tools and features as we create digital illustrations together as well as designing on your own. This class is perfect for kids who love to create, draw, and paint. Have your iPad with Procreate and Apple Pencil ready! Let’s draw! Procreate is the complete art studio you can take anywhere, packed with unique features and intuitive creative tools. For this class you will need an Apple Pencil and iPad, as well as, the Procreate App ($9.99). The current version of Procreate for iPad is 5X Patch 5 (5.2.5). From Trash to Treasure
$141Recycling is good, but upcycling is better! Recycling is turning what we normally throw away into something we can use again either, in its current form or as something else. Upcycling is taking something we normally recycle and transforming it into something more valuable! In this course, students will use their creativity to create upcycled items for their own use or to give as gifts. We will explore a wide variety of art media while creating 3D works of art. Each activity will provide your child with a hands-on creative experience and beautiful masterpieces you will want to keep for a long time!
Geocaching for Littles
$141In this introductory course, we explore the fun of geocaching or high-tech treasure hunting. Find hidden containers called geocaches on campus and in the community. Caches can be in containers as large as a statue or as small as the head of a nail. Discover how GPS (Global Positioning System) technology works using coordinates; then find hidden treasure almost anywhere. Through a series of hands-on activities and using a GPS device, we will learn about etiquette when finding caches, basics, tips, and tricks, and not only find hidden caches throughout the week but design and hide your own caches! This class will be outdoors and walking/hiking for much of the time. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Caches are tailored to meet the needs of young explorers! We may also travel in 12-passenger vans, so if your child needs a booster seat, please provide one.
Junior Aquarist Camp for Kids (JACK)
$151Dive deep into the MSUM Oceanarium and discover what it’s like to be a junior marine aquarist! The MSUM Oceanarium is an aquarium facility located in the lower level of Langseth Hall used as a living laboratory and outreach center. This camp is designed to inspire and educate kids on marine science and conservation. Activities during this program include: feeding stingrays and other marine organisms, learning animal handling skills, water quality testing, and more.

$160Come join us to make a clay masterpiece. In this hand-building class, students will use clay and colorful decorating techniques to create an assortment of pieces, from figurines to personalized dinnerware. We recommend students wear old clothes. Projects will be fired and ready for pick up two weeks after the last day of class.

$151Together we will learn about coding, motors, sensors, and teamwork while using Spike Lego Education kits. We will be building and coding lots of crazy creations daily and sharing them with parents through Seesaw. This class is designed to follow Lego We Do course and prepare students for future Lego robotics. It is strongly encouraged that a child has previously participated in the Lego We Do class or has experience with Lego Education.

$149Looking for a class for your 7 to 10 year old to prepare them for Lego Robotics? Come build Lego models that have real working motors that students will program to do a variety of fun activities while gaining skills in the S.T.E.M. field!

Using Torches to Make Glass Beads
$157Making glass beads using a torch can be exciting and a challenge. You will learn to make a simple one-color bead and build upon your skills making more complex beads. You will also make hemp bracelets and necklaces to display your beads. Finally, you will learn how to make a simple glass sculpture. Please bring your own sunglasses.

Create like Greats!
$151In this class, students will get to know master artists and create their own masterpieces in similar ways as the greats. Join us on mini field trips to the Plains Art Museum, local parks, and the graffiti wall in downtown Fargo to learn about how artists create. Students will mimic these styles and create their own works through drawing, painting, and sculpting. There will also be a gallery showcase at the end of the week showcasing the week's creations.

Harry Potter Club

Let's explore the wizarding world through tricky trivia, brewing potions, studying charms, and learning about the curses. $163We will explore the craft of sewing while helping your child discover the joy that comes with creating something handmade that they can be proud of!! In our beginning sewing CFK sessions sewers will learn the basics of using a machine, how to prep and cut fabric, and master the beginning skills they need to create fun age-appropriate projects!

$141In this course, we will be exploring paper-making to create and bind our own sketchbooks by using sustainable materials. Students will learn how to create their own paper from start to finish and be able to create their own patterns, colors, and textures. Students will also learn how to fully bind a sketchbook with their paper to create covers and other drawing media.

Still Sew So Easy (Level 2)
$163In this level two sewing class we will continue to explore the craft of sewing, moving into more advanced patterns and handmade projects with Fat Quarters! Before taking this course your child should have either completed So Sew Easy (level 1) and/or be completely comfortable with the basics of using a sewing machine (able to thread machine, complete simple stitches, able to thread bobbin, etc.).

Youth Choir Experience
$145Does your child enjoy singing? Join us for a week of joyful music-making! Students will have a chance to make friends with other young musicians, play music games, develop their vocal music skills, and perform in a choir concert open to the community. Family and friends will be encouraged to join us in the audience! Inspired by the Kodály philosophies of music education, we believe that music is for all. All experience levels are invited to participate! Students should plan on bringing a bag lunch.

You’re going to roll crazy coil projects, slap down some slabs, and create your very own wacky woodland animal sculptures. $141Recycling is good, but upcycling is better! Recycling is turning what we normally throw away into something we can use again either, in its current form or as something else. Upcycling is taking something we normally recycle and transforming it into something more valuable! In this course, students will use their creativity to create upcycled items for their own use or to give as gifts. We will explore a wide variety of art media while creating 3D works of art. Each activity will provide your child with a hands-on creative experience and beautiful masterpieces you will want to keep for a long time!
Geocaching for Littles
$141In this introductory course, we explore the fun of geocaching or high-tech treasure hunting. Find hidden containers called geocaches on campus and in the community. Caches can be in containers as large as a statue or as small as the head of a nail. Discover how GPS (Global Positioning System) technology works using coordinates; then find hidden treasure almost anywhere. Through a series of hands-on activities and using a GPS device, we will learn about etiquette when finding caches, basics, tips, and tricks, and not only find hidden caches throughout the week but design and hide your own caches! This class will be outdoors and walking/hiking for much of the time. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Caches are tailored to meet the needs of young explorers! We may also travel in 12-passenger vans, so if your child needs a booster seat, please provide one.

Using new technologies, NASA will explore regions of the Moon never visited before and establish a long-term human presence on the Moon. Astronauts will live and work there for weeks to months at a time. They will test technologies, conduct science experiments, mine resources, and learn how to live in extreme environments. This knowledge will help NASA take the next giant leap–sending astronauts to Mars. This Space Camp Experience will bring the excitement of NASA’s science and technology missions to the Artemis generation explorers! -
